…I was really tested, but afterwards I was euphoric, because I thought, ‘wow, I just had to fly by the seat of my pants, interview the president of The United States. I didn’t ask him about his favorite color or his favorite meal at the White House – I actually talked to him about real things, and I survived. Phew!’

The hour has come for a new generation to lead the Democratic Congress that I so deeply respect.

There is nothing that's off limits. If people think something is off limits, I make it my business to go make a joke about it; that's my job.

Is there anyone out there? Or am I all alone? It wouldn’t make a difference; still, I don’t wanna know.

To say you have no choice is to relieve yourself of responsibility.

Voting whether or not to remove a sitting President has been a truly difficult decision, and after listening to the arguments presented by both sides, I have reached my conclusion reluctantly. For the reasons above I must vote yes on the articles of impeachment. I take no pleasure in these votes, and am saddened this is the legacy we leave our children and grandchildren. I have always wanted this President, and every President to succeed, but I deeply love our country and must do what I think is best for the nation.
