- The interesting thing to me about me the release of the POW, Sergeant Bergdahl, is the Republicans immediately criticizing that. We saved an American and foreign policy gets criticized. We lose American lives on foreign soil, the president gets criticized. Are you seeing a theme here? It's politics.
- Speaker Boehner, by going down the path of this lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at some point in the future. I think that if the President enacted immigration reform, that would certainly up the likelihood that [Republicans] would contemplate impeachment.
- The presumption in that question is that…he was going to McDonald's for milkshakes every Friday night and we could have just picked him up in a taxicab. These people deliberately try to evade capture, and putting yourself in a position where you can properly ID and move against them takes a lot of planning. I don't think anybody's going to apologize for the effort over such a long period of time that eventually led to his capture.
- There are a lot of politicians who said things about Bowe Bergdahl before he came home, and then…suddenly changed their mind…The best is the people who had tweeted their thoughts and prayers to Bowe Bergdahl. Then all this stuff happened, and they went back and deleted their prayers. You can’t delete a prayer.
- Under the Obama regime, the president and his allies are intentional in pursuing these conflicts from the perspective that you must sacrifice your most sacred beliefs to government the instant you start a business. You have the protection of the First Amendment as an individual, you see – but the instant you start a business, you lose those protections.
- Russia is a gas station masquerading as a country. It's kleptocracy, it's corruption, it's a nation that's really only dependent upon oil and gas for their economy.
- These issues have crept up on us. Our rights are being infringed more and more on every side, and the danger is that we get used to it. So, I want to use the 25th anniversary [of the internet] for us all to do that, to take the web back into our own hands and define the web we want for the next 25 years.
- People call me a socialist sometimes. But, no, you gotta meet real socialists. You’ll have a sense of what a socialist is.
- As is tradition, this new year the mayor is dropping the ball in NYC, while Congress drops the ball in Washington.
- I am very sad to see that the Olympic Games in Sochi, for which we have so long and anxiously prepared, will come to pass with less brilliance and passion because of this unfortunate initiative that was so hastily -- and I believe without thoughtful discussion -- adopted by parliament.
- It is a law of nature that everything run by the government will get more expensive and worse over time. Everything run by the private sector will get better and cheaper over time. The fact that [Obamacare] starts this badly does not bode well….We want healthcare run on the same system that gave us cell phones, flat screens, Jerry Garcia chia pets. Everything you submit to the free market…keeps getting better and better.
- There clearly are cases where evil people exist, but you don't have to violate the privacy of every single citizen of America to find them.
