Wanting to know. Everybody wants to know. But maybe growing up means accepting that you're not always able to.

I felt so sure then. ‘Course, I was younger. It’s easier to be certain of things then. The older you get the more you see how certainty depends on one blindness or another.

This recent calling out of sexual assault has been a long time coming. And it's good. It's like cutting out tumors: it's messy, and it's complicated and it is going to hurt. But it's necessary. And we'll all be healthier for it. And it sucks — and some of our heroes will be taken down, and we will discover bad things about people we like. And sometimes, even people we love.
