- This is why I think the shutdown was so magnificent, run beautifully. I’m so proud of these Republicans….Obamacare is very unpopular. If you want to overturn it, America, vote for more Republicans. We need to take the Senate.
- That’s right. Obama didn’t lie to you when he said, ‘if you like your plan, you can keep it.’ Why? Because, you sillies, you DIDN’T REALLY like the plan you chose for yourselves! No arguing. Barack Obama knows best, and he’ll tell you whether you actually liked your insurance plan or not.
- One faction of one party, in one house of Congress, in one branch of government, doesn't get to shut down the entire government just to refight the results of an election.
- Three of the last four [elections], ’06, ’08, and ’12, were disastrous for Republicans. And they were years in which we just we stayed quiet, we went along the get-along, we didn’t stand on principle. The only year that was a good year for Republicans was 2010, when we painted in bold colors, not in pale pastels. We stood for principle. I think winning this fight right now is the most important thing we can do to see significant victories in 2014.

- I know CNN has taken some knocks lately but the fact is, I admire their commitment to covering all sides of the story, just in case one of them happens to be accurate.
- In any given day [the Obama] administration has about 2 million employees, and things happen. We put in process procedures to make sure if there has been any wrongdoing, there will be appropriate consequences, and we will move on.
- They don't simply want the government to keep the peace and create a level playing field. They want the government to ensure that every accident and every piece of bad luck is prevented, or that they would be fully compensated in the event something goes wrong. And if the price of the house drops, they will hold the government responsible for that, too.
