- Here are white men poised to run big marijuana businesses, dreaming of cashing in big - big money, big businesses selling weed. After 40 years of impoverished black kids getting prison time for selling weed - and their families and futures destroyed. Now, white men are planning to get rich doing precisely the same thing?
- The interesting thing to me about me the release of the POW, Sergeant Bergdahl, is the Republicans immediately criticizing that. We saved an American and foreign policy gets criticized. We lose American lives on foreign soil, the president gets criticized. Are you seeing a theme here? It's politics.
- Speaker Boehner, by going down the path of this lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at some point in the future. I think that if the President enacted immigration reform, that would certainly up the likelihood that [Republicans] would contemplate impeachment.
- Liberal moms like soccer because it's a sport in which athletic talent finds so little expression that girls can play with boys. No serious sport is co-ed, even at the kindergarten level.
- In talk radio, in the media, when we are very partisan…a lot of people will say it helps us devolve socially, and that it lends nothing but vitriol and acrimony to an already heightened atmosphere. - I was never going to help [Kevin Spacey with House of Cards]. He kept asking me, and I wouldn’t help him - until I found out he played a Democrat, so I told him to come on in, I’d give him any advice.
- There are a lot of politicians who said things about Bowe Bergdahl before he came home, and then…suddenly changed their mind…The best is the people who had tweeted their thoughts and prayers to Bowe Bergdahl. Then all this stuff happened, and they went back and deleted their prayers. You can’t delete a prayer.
- I have been in Washington for a while now, and most things don’t surprise me. The fact that twenty 6-year-olds were gunned down in the most violent fashion possible and this town couldn’t do anything about it was stunning to me.
- The Republicans tend to choose the candidate who came in second place in the last election, and Democrats tend to move on. Ask President Ed Muskie how it worked out to be the front-runner. Ask President Howard Dean how it worked out.
- The one lesson Republicans probably will not learn from Ken Cuccinelli’s troubled campaign for Virginia governor is the most important: Politically, the ‘truce strategy’ on abortion fails. If it is not abandoned, it will drag down the GOP.
