- I think Hillary Clinton has juggled so many jobs in her life that adding grandmother to her bio would not deter her from running.
- I work very physically as an actor. The biggest thing for me has been the challenge of how to be this person with the personal transformation that's going on for me physically... That hasn't been easy. It's been an awesome challenge for me… because so much of how I access character is through my body.
- If I had to take my family to court and convict them of being followers of Christ, I am not sure where I would find the evidence.
- My mother saved our home with a minimum wage job. But in the 1960s, a minimum wage job would support a family of three above the poverty line. Not today. Not even close. I understood right then that people can work hard, they can play by the rules, and they can still take a hard smack.
- [Monica] Lewinsky writes of how her whole personhood, her whole adulthood, was marked and shaped by the sexual actions she took in her early twenties. It may seem, in comparison, that Hillary [Clinton]—already powerful and accomplished by the time the scandal erupted—escaped comparatively unscathed. - My relationship with Northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball. I didn’t realize that four years ago. I do now.
- It’s like a reverse nightmare situation. When you go to sleep normally, you have a nightmare and you wake up and ‘Oh! Everything’s ok.’ And now I go to sleep - I might have a nice dream - and then I wake up and slowly the truth of what happens dawns on me. And that is that my son was a mass murderer.
- If [women] really want it and they are really capable, I think they can make it. If you are determined and passionate about it, I don’t think there are any roadblocks. Gender doesn’t matter at a leadership level.
- Liberal moms like soccer because it's a sport in which athletic talent finds so little expression that girls can play with boys. No serious sport is co-ed, even at the kindergarten level.
- It sounds funny to say, but we saw [Kate’s wedding to Prince William] as just a family wedding. And actually, I didn't realize - perhaps - the scale of it until afterwards. We all took on the roles as any family would.
