Silencing women silences justice.

Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with.

You could be a gangster with a dress, you could be a gangster with baggy pants. I feel like there’s no such thing as gender.

This is the right thing to do for our people and for the force. We’re talking about talented Americans who are serving with distinction or who want the opportunity to serve. We can’t allow barriers unrelated to a person’s qualifications prevent us from recruiting and retaining those who can best accomplish the mission.

We live off this image as an open and tolerant place. Homophobic violence has hit crisis levels, and it’s getting worse.

Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl.

Legislators have gone out of their way to stigmatize and marginalize transgender North Carolinians by pushing ugly and fundamentally untrue stereotypes that are based on fear and ignorance and not supported by the experiences of more than 200 cities with these protections.

To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation: we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all, and to fight for equal rights for women in America.
