- Silencing women silences justice.
- This recent calling out of sexual assault has been a long time coming. And it's good. It's like cutting out tumors: it's messy, and it's complicated and it is going to hurt. But it's necessary. And we'll all be healthier for it. And it sucks — and some of our heroes will be taken down, and we will discover bad things about people we like. And sometimes, even people we love.
- I understand that they [women] feel like that is their body. I feel like it is a separate — what I call them is, is you’re a ‘host.’
- I think implicit bias is a problem for everyone, not just police. I think, unfortunately, too many of us in our great country jump to conclusions about each other.
- Open to the idea that – for a period yet to be determined – there should be no financing from abroad for the construction of mosques.
- We live off this image as an open and tolerant place. Homophobic violence has hit crisis levels, and it’s getting worse.

- Legislators have gone out of their way to stigmatize and marginalize transgender North Carolinians by pushing ugly and fundamentally untrue stereotypes that are based on fear and ignorance and not supported by the experiences of more than 200 cities with these protections.
- We just need something tangible to make us believe that politicians care about us. The wards in Flint haven’t seen any of this federal aid, but we do all the tax paying and all the dying.
- To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation: we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all, and to fight for equal rights for women in America.
