- My favorite athlete ever is Magic Johnson. Magic Johnson's all about passing. It's all about, like, setting up players, setting up people. I like dishing out and watching somebody jam. Actually, I get great pleasure from that.

And those teams were picked using a peculiar formula with the help of computers - always a controversial process. And before 1992, the national champion was chosen by a poll of insiders – again, pretty controversial. So now, finally, fans have nothing to complain about…

- I don’t think you’re going to get that [high] caliber of act - the Rolling Stones, U2, Springsteen - to pay to play [the Super Bowl]. There’s no doubt there are acts out there that would pay for exposure, but I think that’s the wrong message for the NFL to send.
- Democrats want Washington’s NFL team to change its name. The Redskins‘ owner, Mr. Snyder, is the only person who can rightfully do this. Hence, if he chooses to comply and pays homage to a Republican president in the process, [Democrats] are stuck with it. Any further complaints would smack of political partisanship.
- I want to thank the entire Rams organization and the city of St. Louis for giving me this tremendous opportunity and allowing me to show I can play at this level. I look forward to continuing to build on the progress I made here toward a long and successful career. The most worthwhile things in life rarely come easy, this is a lesson I've always known. The journey continues.
