It’s only when something has absolutely no significance to us – like the economy, the future of our children, the way the nation’s going to turn out – that we say don’t bother with the facts, I’ve got my mind made up.

You know, just to be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.

I do not believe - and I know this is a horrible thing to say - but I do not believe that the president loves America. He doesn’t love you, and he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up, through love of this country…with all our flaws, we’re the most exceptional country in the world. I’m looking for a presidential candidate who can express that, do that, and carry it out.

The focus was to deal with the litany of issues that African-American and Latino voters are facing.

The son of a U.S. citizen born abroad is a natural-born citizen. The internet has all sorts of fevered swamp theories.

Feeling a little small? Well, in the context of the cosmos, we are small.

Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some hire public relations officers.

The whole point is to distract the populous, to distract me. If you've got a real scandal, if you've got something that's really important, let's talk about that.
