- I can't explain the lack of integrity among some of the leaders of our health care facilities. This is something I rarely encountered during 38 years in uniform. And so I will not defend it because it is indefensible. But I can take responsibility for it and I do.
- By the end of this century, most of the human race will have become cyborgs [part human, part machine]. The allure will be immortality. Machines will make breakthroughs in medical technology, most of the human race will have more leisure time, and we'll think we've never had it better. The concern I'm raising is that the machines will view us as an unpredictable and dangerous species.
- I felt like it was important for me to try to connect those dots to my legislative colleagues, so that they understand that these are real lives that we’re talking about - that they’re not just words on a piece of paper. That the decisions that we make absolutely affect young people every single day. And that I very much could have been helped if things had been different for me.
- I’ve never had any plastic surgery. Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a tit. So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au naturel product.
- Under the Obama regime, the president and his allies are intentional in pursuing these conflicts from the perspective that you must sacrifice your most sacred beliefs to government the instant you start a business. - This is why I think the shutdown was so magnificent, run beautifully. I’m so proud of these Republicans….Obamacare is very unpopular. If you want to overturn it, America, vote for more Republicans. We need to take the Senate.
- That’s right. Obama didn’t lie to you when he said, ‘if you like your plan, you can keep it.’ Why? Because, you sillies, you DIDN’T REALLY like the plan you chose for yourselves! No arguing. Barack Obama knows best, and he’ll tell you whether you actually liked your insurance plan or not.
- It is a law of nature that everything run by the government will get more expensive and worse over time. Everything run by the private sector will get better and cheaper over time. The fact that [Obamacare] starts this badly does not bode well….We want healthcare run on the same system that gave us cell phones, flat screens, Jerry Garcia chia pets. Everything you submit to the free market…keeps getting better and better.
- The President’s biggest problem right now is he’s gotta tell the truth. And we’ve seen this in New Jersey. I’ve told lots of hard truths in New Jersey that people didn’t necessarily agree with, but they give you credit for looking them in the eye and telling them the truth.
